Mary F. Loughran-Shults

Mary F. Loughran-Shults, 87, of Hurley, NY, passed away Monday, December 11, 2017 at home. She was born September 6, 1930 in Kingston, to the late William and Margaret (Teller) Fuller. Mary was married to Dr. Elbert H. Loughran, who passed away on May 28, 1997. She later married John R. Shults, Jr. on January 23, 1999.

Mary was a graduate of Kingston High School, class of 1947 and Brown University, class of 1951. She was a member of the Hurley Library Association and she loved traveling, knitting, reading, and listening to symphonic music whether it be at home, or day excursions to Tanglewood.

Mary is survived by her husband, John R. Shults, Jr., of Hurley, her sons, William S. Loughran of Hurley, Robert H. Loughran of Newtown, Pa, Roger H. Loughran, II of Red Hook, NY, her brother, James R. Fuller of New London, NH, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and grandchildren (or as Mary called them her, "chickadees").

Entrusted to the care of A. Carr & Son Funeral Home, 65 Lucas Ave, Kingston, where family and friends may visit on Friday December 22, 2017 from 11am to 1pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Dementia Society of America.
