Mary E. Grogan

Mary E. (Ryan) Grogan, 88, of Kingston, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at The Baptist Home at Brookmeade in Rhinebeck. She was born September 17, 1925 in Syracuse, to the late Daniel and Mary (Mulcahy) Ryan.




She was married to Alwin L. Grogan, Alwin passed away on December 16th 1978.




Mary worked for many years as a waitress for several area restaurants. She loved reading, gardening and taking care of children, especially her grandchildren.




Mary is survived by her children, Mary Anne Bonetti and her significant other Patrick Marallo of Cortlandt Manor, NY, Patrick M. Grogan and his wife Judy of Hopewell Junction, NY, Susan M. Smith and her husband Gerald of Kingston, NY, Michael E. Grogan of Hyde Park, NY, 10 Grandchildren, 9 Great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her siblings, William, Edward , and Ann.




Entrusted to the care of Luke Keyser of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Ave., Kingston, where friends may visit on Friday March 21st from 4 - 7pm. The service will be held at 7pm on Friday at the funeral home.




A graveside service will take place at 11am on Saturday March 22nd at Hillside Cemetery, Cortlandt Manor, NY.




The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Alzheimer's Association at ALZ.org
