Mary Cooter, 84, of Kingston, died on Saturday, March 26th, 2022, at Golden Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Mary was born in Syracuse and was 1 of 13 siblings. Mary does not have any surviving relatives however she considered her church and housemates her family. Mary resided at the Ashokan IRA since 2016, prior to that she lived at the Scardefield IRA for many years. Mary worked at pilot industries for several years. Mary was an active member of the Fair Street reformed Church.
Mary spent most of her days enjoying her retirement and enjoyed listening to the oldies and Kenny Rodgers, singing and dancing, Watching Scary Movies and her all- time favorite Movie Dirty Dancing. Mary enjoyed spending time with her dear friend Stephanie who she met in church many years ago and they have been great friends ever since. Mary was a woman that knew what she wanted and would make it very clear that it was important for her to be First in all her daily routines. Mary spent a lot of her time planning vacations that she enjoyed going on every year and talked about how much she loved lake George.
Mary will be reposing at the Simpson-Hammerl Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave on Thursday, March 31, 2022 from 10-11 AM.
A Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 AM at the funeral Home, with Pastor Kendra VanHouten, of Fair Street Reform Church, officiating.
Interment will follow in Montrepose Cemetery.
