Mary Cathrine Lee

Mary Cathrine Lee, 80, of Kingston, NY, passed away on Wednesday May 23, 2018. She was born in March, 1938 in New Paltz, NY. The daughter of Timothy Benjamin Hasbrouck II and his wife Bessie. She is survived by the love of her life, her husband Chang Jae Lee, and her beloved son, Michael Jae Lee. She is also survived by her brother, Robert Hasbrouck, three sisters, Jean May, Brenda Halstead, and Loraine Hasbrouck, as well as three half-sisters, Marleen, Tony, and Flora Kaufman. She was predeceased by her beloved brother, Timothy Hasbrouck III, and two sisters, Joan Harper, and Sherry Hasbrouck.

Mary grew up in Woodstock, NY, where she attended Woodstock Elementary School before graduating and attending Kingston High School. She worked her whole life, most recently at the West Hurley and Woodstock Elementary Schools in food service, eventually working her way to head cook before retiring after seventeen years in 2002.

Mary was a mother to all, and is survived by many nieces and nephews who she always loved as if they were her own. Two very close and loving nieces Jeanne May Snyder and Mary Ann May Smith were always and forever shall remain close to her heart as the daughters she never had. She also was the Momma to a very special daughter, Patsy Hunt Locklear, who she raised as her own, and remained close to all her life.

Mary's accomplishments were many, and her life a testament to triumphing over hardship. To all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving her, let her love and life continue through you. She brought light and happiness to us all and will continue to do so even in death.
