Mary Brown

Mary "Dolly" Brown, 90, of Commons Drive, Lake Katrine, formerly of Hillside Ave., Hurley, died Monday, July 5, 2010 at Kingston Hospital. She was born January 14, 1920 in Kingston, to the late William E. and Nettie (Benn) Davis.




She was the wife of the late Arthur Brown who died in 1977.




For many years Dolly was a waitress having worked for Sam's Restaurant in uptown Kingston and the Lincoln Park Inn. In her younger years, she had enjoyed bowling and had bowled in several area leagues. She had been a resident of Ten Broeck Commons for several years, and served as Vice President of the resident council




Mary is survived by her children Katherine Capasso, Wappingers Falls, William Szymanski, Kingston, John "Joe" Szymanski, Kingston, and Edmund A. Szymanski, Kingston, 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, two nieces and a nephew. She was the sister of the late William A. Davis and Katherine Benton.




Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral Service, Inc., 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston. Services will be private at the discretion of the family. Burial in Hurley Cemetery.




The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Ten Broeck Commons Activity Fund, 1 Commons Drive, Lake Katrine, NY 12449
