Mary A Vetere

Mary A. Vetere, 97, of Kingston, passed peacefully Sunday afternoon, May 15, 2016 at her residence with her family by her side. She was born June 23, 1918 in East Kingston, the daughter of the late Thomas and Antoinette Costello.


She was the wife of Michael F Vetere, Sr., Mike passed on January 3, 2004.


Mary had attended Kingston Schools and for many years worked in the J. Watson Bailey Cafeteria for the Kingston City Schools.


Mary was a parishioner of St. Joseph's RC Church and member of the Catholic Daughters of America.


She is survived by her sons, Michael F Vetere Jr. of Saugerties, Francis M Vetere and his wife Karen, of Kingston, Ronald M Vetere and his wife Christine of Saugerties, two sisters Christine Burnham of New Hampshire, and Kathleen Hart of Rhinecliff, six grandchildren, Michael C. Vetere, Marissa Siracusano and her husband Joseph, Tiffany Iacobellis and her husband Michael, Olivia Vetere, Veronica Vetere, Kara Vetere and 3 great grandchildren. She was predeceased a daughter in law, Donna Vetere and a brother Vincent Costello,


Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston.

Friends may call on Thursday from 9 - 10 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph's RC Church at 11:00 am. Burial in St Mary's Cemetery.
