Mary A. Ehring, 88, of Woodstock, NY, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 29, 1933 in Shenandoah, PA, daughter of the late William and Helen (Hoffman) Butler. Mary was married to her husband of 49 years, John J. Ehring. John passed away in 2007.
Mary received her Registered Nursing degree from Sacred Heart Hospital in Allentown, PA and worked as the Head of Pediatrics at Perth Amboy General Hospital in NJ, now known as Raritan Bay Medical Center. She later began her family with her husband John and became a full-time homemaker. Later in life, Mary found Joy working a part time job at K-Mart, where she made many friends.
Mary was an avid NY Mets fan. Her favorite saying was "Lets go Mets!". Her one true passion was reading and sharing books with her sister Helen. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Mary is survived by her children, John Ehring of Burlington, NJ, Bill Ehring and his wife Pam of Penfield, NY, Bob Ehring and his wife Georgette of Woodstock, NY, Maryanne Kenly and her husband Jody of West Hurley, NY, her grandchildren, Rebecca, Sarah, Dan, Allie, Nicholas, Matthew, Tim, Logan, and Shawn, her great grandson, Johnny, her sister, Helen Ringwood, as well as many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, and other dear family and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents she is predeceased by her grandson, Christopher Ehring, her daughter in law, Kathy Ehring, and her sister, Agnes Burns.
Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Ave., Kingston, NY 12401, where family and friends may visit on Friday, August 6, 2021 from 4pm to 8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at St. John's RC Church, 12 Holly Hills Dr, Woodstock, NY, 12498. Burial will follow in Woodstock Cemetery, Woodstock, NY.
