Marvin W. Hoffmann, 68, of, Kingston, NY, died suddenly at home on Monday, February 18, 2013. He was a long time resident of Kingston and was employed at Ulster Savings Bank as a Tax Preparer. Previous employment included Morgan Guaranty Trust and co-owner of PG Simmons Realty in Kingston, NY and past member of Ulster County Board of Realtors. He was born in Yonkers, NY on February 22, 1944, son of the late Clara and Philip W. Hoffmann. He is survived by his wife Margaret Winkler-Hoffmann; his daughter Karri McInerney and her husband, Joseph of Scottsdale, AZ; his son Matthew Hoffmann and his wife, Karen of Basking Ridge, NJ; stepchildren Larissa and Jeremy Winkler of Kingston and five grandchildren, Kristen, Patrick and Meagan McInerney and Emily and Sara Hoffmann. Marvin was a devoted husband, a proud father and grandfather and a good friend to many. He was a licensed Enrolled Agent and member of the National Association of Tax Professionals. He attended Barnard School of Business for Boys and the University of Denver. He was an avid golfer, member of the Rondout Golf Club and active member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Kingston. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Ave., Kingston. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 4 - 7 PM. The funeral procession will form at the funeral home on Thursday at 10:15 AM and process to St. John's Episcopal Church, Albany Ave. for funeral services at 11:00 AM.
