Marvin Schildhorn, 77, of Saugerties, formerly of Kingston, died, Sunday, September 11, 2016 at HealthAlliance Hospital Broadway Campus.
Born in Brooklyn, June 28, 1939, he was a son of the late Harry & Dora Lebenbaum Schildhorn.
He was the former owner of L&M Auto Parts on the East Strand in Kingston, car parts were his passion until his retirement. He received numerous awards for his oncology care support, He was involved in the Healing Arbor and many other cancer cure support events.
Marvin is survived by his daughter, Cindi D. Torpey and her husband William J. Torpey IV of Farmington, CT, one grandson, Brandon J. Torpey
In addition to his parents, Marvin was predeceased by his wife of 42 years, Janet Helene Schildhorn, who passed in 2001 and a brother, Robert Schildhorn.
A Celebration of Marvin's life will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Hurley Reform Church at 11:00 AM.
Interment will be held privately.
