Marvin P. Burton of Meyers Road, Sawkill died Monday, October 15, 2007 at Kingston Hospital. He was 75.
He was born February 29, 1932 in Kingston, the son of the late Paul and Hazel Hulsair Burton.
He was a graduate of Kingston High School, Class of 1950. He was a staff sergeant in the air force during the Korean Conflict. He was a avid gardener and was a member of American Legion Albany Post 0001. He was one of the original members of the Sawkill Volunteer Fire Department.
Mr. Burton owned Marvin Burton and Son Contractors.
On June 10, 1956, he married Bettyann Whispell Burton who survives at home. Also surviving are a daughter, Deborah McDonald and her husband, William of Dunstable, MA, a son, Gary Burton and his wife Jacqueline of Kingston, three grandchildren, Shaina McDonald, Kayla Essenmacher and Gabrielle Burton.
A brother, Wayne Burton died previously.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, 10:00 am at Mt. Marion Cemetery. Rev. Thomas Goodheart will officiate.
