Martin Walter Laforse

Martin W. Laforse, 79, of Kingston, died suddenly on May 4, 2007. Marty was an absent-minded professor for all occasions; dear husband of Barbara Sarah, loving father of Bruce Laforse and Becky Crandell; beloved stepfather of Jennifer Berky, Erica Kasel and Nancie Martin; adoring grandfather of Mia, Evan, Alexandra and Nathaniel; proud father-in-law of Chris, Bruce and Robert; wonderful friend to Bev Laforse; he was a master teacher, humorist extraordinaire, passionate historian of the Weimar Republic, the Civil War, Brooklyn Dodgers and ancient jazz; writer, artist, gardener, photographer, reader, storyteller, volunteer, friend and a very nice guy. A gathering ceremony will be conducted on Sunday, at Temple Emanuel, 243 Albany Avenue, Kingston.
