Marlene Gogg

Marlene Gogg, 79, of Hurley, died Friday afternoon at her residence after a long battle with Rheumatoid Arthritis.

She was born November 17, 1931 in Clarion, Iowa, and was the daughter of the late Rube and Helen Mickelson. Marlene was the wife of the late Richard L. Gogg, who died on July 5, 1994.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Gogg, her sons Jim Gogg and his wife Donna, Dennis Gogg and his wife Denise, David Gogg and his wife Susan and Bill Gogg and his wife Maribeth, her grandchildren Terianne, Marshall, Laura Beth, Kristine, Riley, Bill, Noelle and Reid Gogg. A sister, Joanne Tomke, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Jim Mickelson,
Mrs. Gogg attended the University of Northern Iowa. She worshiped at the Hurley Reformed Church, was a member of the Hurley Heritage Society, the Hurley Garden Club, a longtime member of the Wiltwyck Golf Club and was a volunteer at the Kingston Hospital. She loved to golf, play bridge, and mahjong, travel and spend her winters in Stuart, Florida with her many friends.

The family will receive their friends at the Hurley Reformed Church on Monday from 4 - 6 p.m. The Memorial Service will be held at 6 p.m. at the church. The Rev. Charles Stickley, officiating.

Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral Service, cremation will take place at the discretion of the family.
