Marlene Etter, 79, of Delray Beach, FL, formerly of Kingston, NY, died Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Delray Medical Center.
Born in Ellenville, she was a daughter of the late Emanuel Dittenheimer & Rose Feldman Dittenheimer.
Marlene enjoyed spending time with family and friends, her monthly Book Club, The Audubon Society (she could tell you the type of any bird with just a quick look), Sailing and Golf. She was known for baking the best chocolate chip cookies. On July 14, 1957 she married her High School Sweet Heart Gary Etter.
Marlene is survived by two sons, Joel Etter and his wife Marjorie of Brockton, MA and Dr. Gregg Etter and his partner Donald of Swansea, MA. Four grandchildren, Justin, Jennifer, Ben and Sam and several nieces, nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Marlene was predeceased by her husband, Gary Etter, who passed in 2005, her brother, William Dittenheimer, her sister and brother in law Elaine and Richard Rothman and her niece Jill Trachtenberg.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Ezrath Israel Cemetery in Wawarsing, NY at 11:00 AM.
