Mark Anthony Famiglietti, 72, of Kingston, passed suddenly Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Denton, Texas. He was born May 18, 1942 in the Bronx, the son of the late Marco and Rose Milisci Famiglietti.
He was a graduate of SUNY New Paltz, receiving his Bachelors of Arts. He taught English at the Rhinebeck High School for 30 years, producing numerous theatrical productions during his tenure there. Mark was a staunch union advocate; he had been President of the Rhinebeck Teachers Union for 28 years. His passion was working on classic cars and for 30 years he ran Mark's Auto Repair in Kingston.
He was the husband of Nancy Knowles Famiglietti, father of Paul Mark Famiglietti and his wife Jennifer of Kingston, and Michael Anthony Famiglietti and his wife Vicky of Kingston. Grandfather of Enzo and Ella, brother of Roseanne Lippen and her husband Alan of Coral Springs, FL., uncle of three nieces, and proud Pa to his grand puppies Max and Posey. He was very lucky in the last three years to find the joy of his life in his grandchildren.
Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston. Friends may call on Friday from 2 - 4pm & 7 - 9pm. The service will be held Saturday at 10:30 am at the funeral home. Burial in Montrepose Cemetery, Kingston.
