Marjorie Louise Robinson

December 21, 1928 — September 30, 2016

Marjorie "Marge" Robinson, 87, of Golden Hill, formerly of Port Ewen, passed unexpectedly Friday morning September 30, 2016 at Health Alliance Hospital, Broadway Campus, Kingston. She was born December 21, 1928 in New Jersey and was the daughter of the late Clark E and Beatrice Polhemus Bonesteel.

She was the wife of the late Allen Robinson, Sr., he passed on August 30, 1991.

Marge was a graduate of Kingston High School. For many years she worked as a nurse's aide at Benedictine Hospital until her retirement. She was a member of the Reformed Church of Port Ewen and had been active in the DORCAS Society.

Marge was honored by the New York State Office for the Aging, as Senior of the year in 2012 for her dedicated service to improving the lives of senior citizens in our community. For many years she lived at Governor Clinton apartments and was affectionately known as the "mayor".

She is survived by her loving family, Judy Mogan and her husband Darrel, Joy Lamas and her husband Steve, Barbara Tatarzewski and her husband John, Rett Williams, Karen Johnson, Allen Robinson, Jr. and his girlfriend Windy and Arthur Robinson and his wife Brenna. Her grandchildren Kevin, Viki, Jake, Kathy, Jayme, Paul, Dez, Rett, Sara, Adrianna, Nikolas, Shea and Aidan and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Her siblings, Beatrice McCarthy, Bruce, Richard and Wayne Bonesteel, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Clark Bonesteel and a sister Dorothy Burt.

Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 216 Broadway, Port Ewen. The family will receive their friends on Sunday from 4 - 7 pm.

The family will gather at the funeral home on Monday at 10 am. The service will be at the Reformed Church of Port Ewen, Salem Street, on Monday at 11 am. Burial to follow at Wiltwyck Cemetery.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Ulster County Office of the Aging, Meals on Wheels Program, 1003 Development Court, Kingston, NY 12401
