Marion Elliot Sperath

Virginia Beach, VA - Marion Elliott Sperath, 82, formerly of Lake Katrine, NY, passed away at her residence in Virginia Beach, Va. August 3, 2010. Born in Scranton, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Milly Vanston. Marion was a long standing and active parishioner of St. Catherine Laboure' Roman Catholic Church, Lake Katrine, she had served as an officer and long time member of the Altar Rosary Society at St. Catherine's and was a member of the Church Choir. In Virginia Beach she was a parishioner of The Holy Family Roman Catholic Church.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her five children, Barbara Jean Emory and her husband David of Virginia Beach; Marianne Chalk and her husband Sam of Chesapeake; Robert Elliott and his wife Robin of Virginia Beach; Kathryn Delamater and her husband Bruce of Accord, NY; and John Elliott of LaCrosse, WI; nine grandchildren, Colin, Sean, Danielle, Robin, Kaylan, Whitney, Kristin, Brynn, and Christopher; and seven great-grandchildren, Sophia Grace, Ashley, Gracie, Gabriel, Elijah, Emma, and Lydia. Marion was preceded in death by her best friend and husband, James W. Elliott; and her second husband, Albert Sperath.

Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral Service, Inc., 326 Albany Ave. The family will receive their friends on Friday from 7 - 9 pm. The procession will form on Saturday at 10 am and proceed to St. Catherine Laboure RC Church where at 11 am a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial in Wiltwyck Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Alzheimer's Association, 2 Jefferson Plaza, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601-4027
