Marie Reis

Marie A. Reis, 76, of Winnabow, NC, formerly of Kingston, died Saturday, July 7, 2018. Born in Queens, NY, she was a daughter of the late Felix & Lucille Conforti Ulatowski. Marie enjoyed spending time with her many friends, knitting, doing crafts and her favorite, going out to eat. She volunteered for Meals onWheels, Linus blankets for newborns and was a Eucharistic Minister for her parish, Saint Marys Catholic Church, Wilmington NC. Marie is survived by five children, Thomas Reis of Kingston, Maripat Brady and her husband Paul of Biddeford, ME, Terrence Reis of Birmingham, AL, Laura Papini of Carolina Beach, NC ,Sheri Borgeson and her husband Bill of Leland, NC, and daughter in laws, Cookie ,Cathy, and Mary Reis of Kingston. 11 grandchildren, Patrick, Matthew, Michael, Thomas, Jessica, Andrew, Caitlin, Lauren, Ryan, Richard, and Nicole. Five great grandchildren also survive. Two of her favorite people, her cousins, Theresa Abruzzo and Joanne Magagnoli. Also surviving are her dear friends Kay Maurer, and Blanche Bovender. In addition to her parents, Marie was predeceased by her husband, Harold Reis, a son, Donald Reis and a grandson, Matthew Borgeson. Marie will be reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave on Friday, July 13, 2018 from 4-8 PM. A funeral procession will form on Saturday at 9:00 AM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Church. Interment will follow in St. Marys Cemetery.
