Marie Murdock

Marie E. Murdock, 101, of Lake Katrine, NY, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at Ten Broeck Commons in Lake Katrine, NY. She was born on July 4, 1921 in Krumville, NY and was the daughter of the late Chester Lyons and Dorothy Davis.

She graduated from Kingston Highschool, class of 1940. One of her greatest joys in life was raising her son, Wayne. She returned back to work as an assembly line worker for Rotron where she worked for 24 years. Marie liked to dance and go to concerts. She was also a big fan of NASCAR and really enjoyed going on cruises. Her biggest dream came true when she went to Hawaii.

She is survived by her two sisters, Gertrude Drake and Audrey Kraus as well as numerous nieces and nephews and their families.

Marie is preceded in death by her son, Wayne Murdock, her granddaughter, Shelly Murdock, her sisters, Margaret Anderson, Janet Croswell and Fay Wilkins and her brother Chester A. Lyons, Jr.
