Marie Miraglia

Marie (Amodeo) Miraglia, 82, of Kingston, formerly of Florida & Patchogue, LI, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2013. She was born May 15, 1931 in Brooklyn, to the late Frank and Jean (Campetelli) Amodeo.


She was married to the late Alexander Miraglia. Marie and her husband were owners of five successful restaurants in Florida. She was a 37 year member of Morning Star Christian Fellowship in Kingston where she was active in greeting people, was a member of the Christian Women's Club and participated in the Aglow Christian Luncheon.


Marie is survived by her daughters, Kim Shaffer, Donna Miraglia, a sister, Carole Amodeo, two brothers, Edward Amodeo and Robert Amodeo, as well as 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents she is predeceased by her son, Joseph Miraglia, and her brothers, Frank Amodeo and Vito "Sonny" Amodeo.


Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Ave., Kingston, where friends may call on Monday from 11am to 12noon with the service starting at 12noon. Burial will follow in Wiltwyck Cemetery.


The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Morning Star Christian Fellowship, 83 East Chester St., Kingston, NY 12401.
