Marie Kathryn Finkle

Marie Kathryn Finkle, 90, of Brandon Oaks, Roanoke, VA, formerly of Kingston, died Sunday, October 18, 2009 at Brandon Oaks. She was born December 31, 1918 in Amatol, NJ to the late Harold and Beatrice (Holdridge) Stafford.

She was a graduate of Tannersville High School and had been the Office Manager of Hudson Valley Blood Service before retiring in 1983.

Marie was a very active member of the St. James United Methodist Church, having served as secretary of the United Methodist Women's Society, was a member of the Administrative Board and on the Board of Trustees. She was an active volunteer with the Kingston Hospital Auxiliary having served as President, Secretary and Financial Secretary and as Legislative Chairman of the Auxiliary, well as many other committees over the years.

Marie is the mother of Susanne M. Johnson, Norton Hill, NY and Dunedin, FL, Donna E. Keck, Moneta, VA, grandmother of Craig Johnson, Kay Rose, Matthew and Alexis Keck, great grandmother of David and Carley Johnson, Libby and Grace Rose, cousin of Joseph Holdridge, mother of the late Craig Finkle.

Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston. The family will receive their friends on Thursday from 9:30 - 11:30. The procession will form on Thursday at 11:30 am and proceed to St. James United Methodist Church where at 12:00 pm services will be held. The Rev. David M. Jolly, officiating. Burial in Mt. Marion Cemetery, Mt. Marion.

The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to St. James United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, Fair and Pearl Street, Kingston, NY 12401.
