Marie G. Karabec

Marie G. Karabec, age 93, of Ulster Park, formerly of Monroe, NY and Wiltwyck Garden Apartments, Kingston died Saturday, April 12, 2008 at Golden Hill Health Care Center, Kingston.

Mrs. Karabec was born May 20, 1914 at College Point, NY the daughter of the late Walter and Emilia Janke Gebauer. Wife of the late Edward J. Karabec, who died in 1982.

She had been employed by Sabena Airlines as a secretary until her retirement. She had been a communicant of Sacred Heart RC Church in Monroe and Sacred Heart RC Church in Esopus, NY, at the Sacred Heart RC Church in Monroe she was president of the Sacred Heart Leisure Club, she loved gardening and was well know in the Monroe area, having won several awards from the garden club.

She is survived by a son Ralph J. Karabec of Monroe, NY, 5 Grandchildren; 4 Great Grandchildren, she was predeceased by her Son, Edward W. Karabec and a brother Walter Gebauer

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the Sacred Heart R.C. Church, Esopus on Wednesday at 9:30 am. Burial will be in Mt. Saint Mary's Cemetery, Flushing. Light a candle in memory of Marie at www.keyserfuneralservice.com .
