Marian Johnson

Marian "Lindy" Johnson, 83 of The Town of Ulster, NY, died Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at home. She was born May 30, 1927 in West Hurley, NY to the late Arthur and Mary (Scribner) Wilson.

She was married to the late George Johnson; they wed on July 14th 1946. George passed away on August 24th 1989.

Lindy was a graduate of Kingston High School Class of 1945. She then went to work as a supervisor for Hercules Inc. in Port Ewen, NY for many years until her retirement.

Lindy was the best mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend that anyone could ask for. She loved cooking and spending time with her family.

Lindy is survived by her children George Johnson Jr. of Pinellas Park, FL, Lisa Piratcky and her husband Paul of West Hurley, NY, brothers, Gary Wilson of Port Ewen, NY, Dennis Wilson of Kingston, NY, grandchildren, Melissa Grant, Shannon and Billy Shufeldt and Rhiannon and Jesse Johnson, 4 great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her daughter Maureen Johnson and her brother Arthur Wilson.

Entrusted to the care of the A. Carr & Son Funeral Home, 65 Lucas Ave, Kingston, NY 12401, where services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 am

Burial will follow in Wiltwyck Cemetery, Kingston.

Friends may call on Friday from 2 - 4 & 6 - 8 pm at the funeral home.
