Margaret W. Bovee

Margaret "Peggy" W. Bovee, of Port Ewen, passed peacefully Monday morning April 21, 2014 at Ferncliff Nursing Home in Rhinebeck. She was born February 18, 1915 in Margaretville, the daughter of the late Frank and Jeanette Ackerly Winter.

Her husband, Percy M. Bovee, passed in June of 1986.

For many years she had been employed by Barclay Knitwear. She was a devoted and active member of The Reformed Church of Port Ewen where she was a member of the Dorcas Society, served as a Deacon and Elder, served as Financial Secretary for many years, and also taught Sunday School.

Margaret is survived by several cousins and dear friends and was predeceased by her sister, Mabel A. Winter.

Entrusted to the care of Eric Keyser and Harry VanVliet, friends may call on Thursday from 12 - 2 at Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, Port Ewen. The service will be at 2 pm. Burial in Wiltwyck Cemetery. Light a candle in memory of Peggy at www.KeyserCarr.com
