Margaret Gahan Corkery

Margaret “Peggy” Gahan Corkery, of Pine Street, West Hurley died Thursday, September 1, 2005 at Benedictine Hospital. She was 66. Peggy was born in Brooklyn on February 27, 1939, a daughter of the late Lawrence and Bridget Kenny Gahan. She married Wayne J. Corkery on February 21, 1971. Formerly of Prospect Park, Brooklyn, she moved to this area over 50 years ago. A parishioner of St. Catherine Laboure Church, Peggy previously volunteered at Family of Woodstock. For 30 years she worked in the inspection department at Rotron, Woodstock. Beloved wife of Wayne J. Corkery; loving mother of Keith J. Landerway of Kingston; loving sister of Linda A. Budny of Kingston and the late Elizabeth Tringone and Thomas Gahan; grandmother of Nicole and Amanda Rose Landerway; dear friend of Marily Thayer. Also surviving are her beloved niece Kasey Maki and many other nieces and nephews. Reposing at the Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral will be Tuesday at 9:15 AM from the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Catherine Laboure Church at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
