Margaret Colao

Margaret Colao, 92, a lifelong resident of Kingston, died Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Mountain Valley Manor. Born in Kingston, she was a daughter of the late Edward Stapleton & Margaret Harnen- Stapleton. Margaret was a graduate of St. Mary's School and a parishioner of St. Mary's Church. She enjoyed yard sales, recycling, baking bread and clipping coupons. Margaret was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt. She is survived by 3 children, Joseph A. Colao and his wife Jocelyne of Vienna , VA, Marie Steedle and her husband, Edward of Lake Katrine , Marjorie Colao-Pullman and her husband, William Pullman of West Hurley and her nephew Frank E. Stapleton & family, and her 4 grandchildren, Daniel Steedle, Claire Rowan, Sabrina Blaiklock and Joseph A Colao III, 5 great grandchildren, Edward & Alysandra Steedle , Gia , Kyla and William Rowan. In addition to her parents, Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Colao, who passed in 2004 and her sister Bernice Stapleton in 1949. Reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Sunday, December 15, 2013 from 3-6 PM. Bob Lusk will be present from 4:30 - 5:30 PM to play Irish music. The funeral procession will form on Monday from the funeral home at 9:00 AM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
