Margaret Cahill

Margaret Cahill of Albany Avenue and formerly of Flatbush Avenue, Kingston died Sunday, June 26, 2005 at Kingston Hospital. She was 90. She was born January 16, 1915 in High Falls, a daughter of the late Stanley and Maude Osterhoudt Steen. Mrs. Cahill was a housewife and a member of the Community Church of High Falls. She was chairperson of the church’s Christmas bazaar for 35 years. On June 26, 1938 she married Gerald J. Cahill who passed away August 18, 1982. Beloved mother of Colleen Jones and her husband, Bruce and the late Sharyn Cahill, grandmother of Gina Marie Avery and her husband Christopher and sister of Kathryn Wager of Napanoch, Mary Cole of Olive Bridge and Frances Elmendorf of Poughkeepsie. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Kingston on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at the Community Church of High Falls on Wednesday at 12:00 noon by the Rev. James Alley. Interment will follow in Benton Bar Cemetery, High Falls.
