Margaret Alice Shoenfeld

Margaret Alice (Kuehn) Shoenfeld, 100, of Washington Ave Senior Residence in Kingston, NY, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2016 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY. She was born November 1, 1915 in Minneapolis, Minn. to the late Karl Siegfried Kuehn and Ruth Angle Cassidy Kuehn. She was married for 58 years to Oscar Shoenfeld, who passed away in 1996.


Peggy was a sculptor & home maker. She attended the University of Minnesota in her youth and studied at the Art Students League and Pratt Institute in New York later in her life. She raised her family on Long Island and enjoyed sculpting in wood, watercolor painting, gardening, cooking and her large extended family.


She is survived by her sons Peter, John, Andy, and Joe, daughters-in-law Jackie, Beth, Cookie, and Lynn, and her grandchildren Rebecca, Nina, Rekha, Adam, Michael and Alexander, and her great grandchildren Owen, Claire, Camille, Aidan, Julianna, Sophia, and Hawke.
