Mardon Orsland

Mardon Orsland, born January 7, 1933, died peacefully on March 1, 2025. He was born in Hovag, Norway and came to Brooklyn, New York in 1947. It is there where he met and married the love of his life of 68 years Anna Orsland. 

He served in the United States Army and Merchant Marines before starting his own successful excavating company and mobile home park. After retiring, they moved to Lake George where they enjoyed lake life and boating. 

He is survived by his wife Anna Orsland, daughters Terry Orsland and Nancy Shevlin (Ron), granddaughters Lauren Mace (Jon), Kristen Shoop (Casey), Kaitlyn Shevlin, grandsons Gunnar Burns and Jan-Ivar Burns, and great grandsons Henry and Austin Mace. He is preceded in death by his son Allen Orsland and brother Ernst Orsland.

Family and friends will be received at Keyser Funeral Cremation Service, 326 Albany Ave. Kingston, NY on Friday March 7, 2025, from 4-7pm. A private burial will follow on Saturday March 8, 2025.
