Marcella Stiefel

Marcella Stiefel, 88, of Woodland Pond, New Paltz, died August 19, 2016 at HealthAlliance Hospital Broadway Campus. Born in Jersey City, N.J., she was a daughter of the late Charles and Wallentina Rozyeki Zawadzki. Marcella is survived by her three children, Patricia Goodwin of Glenford, NY, Deirdre Goodwin of Saratoga Springs, NY, and John Goodwin of New Canaan, CT; two step-children, Richard Stiefel and his wife Snezana of New York, NY, and Nancy Stiefel and her husband Tom Tuthill of New York, NY; one sister, Alicia Glennon of Larchmont, NY; four grandchildren, Rebecca Gray, Skye D'Aquila, Conor Goodwin, and Meghan Goodwin; three step-grandchildren, Tamara Stiefel, Sam Tuthill and Jake Tuthill. She was also close to many nieces and nephews on both coasts. In addition to her parents, Marcella was predeceased by three siblings, Phyllis Calvet, Charles Zawadzki and John Zawadzki, as well as a twin sister who died at birth. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave at 12:00 noon, with Rev. George W. Hommel of St. John's Roman Catholic Church, officiating. Interment will be held privately. The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Woodstock Land Conservancy, P. O.
