Magaline "Tunsie" Kinyon of Hasbrouck Ave. died Monday, January 04, 2016 at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was 87 and was born February 10, 1928 in Stem, NC a daughter of the late Henry T. and Josephine Bobbitt Parker. For many years, she had been employed by Howard Johnson's. Mrs. Kinyon enjoyed having someone read the Bible to her and also enjoyed singing and dancing, fishing and listening to her oldies, including Muddy Waters, Little Walter, Lightnin' Hopkins, Al Green and R Kelly. Her favorite foods were corn bread, fat back and gravy and greens. Her husband, Leamon Kinyon passed away in 1988. Surviving are three daughters, Gloria Kinyon Culver, Catherine Hough Kinyon, Barbara Ann Kinyon and a son, Ricky Kinyon and his wife Gina Kinyon, all of Kingston. Also surviving are four sisters, Dorothy Hart and Katie London of Kingston, Lillian Parker of Durham, NC, Luna Ann Parker of Greensboro, NC; a brother, Vernon Parker of Durham, NC; nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, a great-great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Two sisters, Annie Rodwell, Mary Ann Parker, a brother, Johnny Parker and a granddaughter, Shawanda Ann Kinyon and son-in-law Hazelle Hough died previously. Entrusted to the care of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Ave., Kingston. Friends will be received on Saturday from 9 - 11 AM at His Word Revealed Church, 205 Route 28, Kingston, NY 12401. The Going Home Service will be conducted at 11:00 AM.
