Madeline M. Esposito, 91, a long time resident of Rosendale, died Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Ten Broeck Commons.
Born in Wayne, OH, she was a daughter of the late Pasquale & Johanna Frescura Tabacchi. Madeline was a 1940 graduate of New Paltz High School where she was Valedictorian of her class and the Apple Blossom Queen. She and her late husband Joe built many housing developments, commercial buildings and the summer resort Sportsmans Park, which is now the Rosendale Recreation Facility. Madeline was an avid reader, who had a great memory, was compassionate, caring and showed kindness towards others.
She is survived by her son Joseph A. Esposito and his wife Rose of Venice, FL, a sister, Gloria Alteri of Saugerties, four grandchildren, Stacy Guglielmi and her husband Alberto, Matthew Gorman, Madeline Esposito and Samara Esposito. One great grandson, Remy Podes, one niece, Valerie, one nephew Vinny also survive, great nieces, Lindsay and Ashley and great nephew, Daniel.
Madeline was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Joseph J. Esposito, whom she married on June 25, 1944 and a beloved uncle, John Piccin.
Madeline will be reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave on Tuesday, April 15, 2013 from 4-8 PM.
A Funeral Service will be conducted on Wednesday at 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
Entombment will follow in Wiltwyck Cemetery.
