Lucius "Greg" Holsey Hall of West Chestnut St., Kingston and formerly of E. Orange, NJ died Monday, April 6, 2009 at home. He was 54.
He was born December 26, 1954 in Newark, NJ a son of the late Lucius and Mable Williams Hall.
A carpenter and all around handyman, he enjoyed music of all kinds and drawing cartoon characters.
Surviving are his soul mate, Catherine Kingsberry of East Orange, NJ; three brothers, Samuel Gaskins of Pomona, CA, Benjamin Hall of Glenburnie, MD, Frederick Hall of Elizabeth, NJ; his wife, Idiyat Oseni of Laurel, MD; two uncles, James Williams, Leroy Williams and an aunt, Mary Cooper. Also surviving are many dear friends at Chiz's Heartstreet with whom he resided. A host of nieces, nephews and cousins and special friends, Mary Chisholm, Bernette Lee and Grover Woolard also survive. The family would like to express a special thanks to Susan Bennett for her support of the family.
A brother, Thomas Hall; a sister Amy Hall; three uncles, Albert, David and Ellis Williams and two aunts, Hazel Cooper and Leona McFadden died previously.
Reposing at Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Kingston on Monday from 10:00 Am - 12:00 PM. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow in Montrepose Cemetery, Kingston. Following the burial, family and friends will gather at 88 Park Ave., East Orange, NJ for a repast.
