Louise R. Short

Louise R. (Studd) Short, 96, of Kingston, NY, formerly of East Stout Avenue Port Ewen, NY, died Sunday, January 25, 2009 at Golden Hill Health Care Center, Kingston, NY. She was born December 4, 1912 in Corry, PA to the late Austin and Margaret (Cudahy) Studd.

She was married to John "Jack" Robert Short, they wed on June 24, 1937. John died on April 23, 1995.

Louise was a member of Town Of Esopus United Methodist Church, Port Ewen, NY , Life member of the Port Ewen Fire Department Ladies Auxillary, Town of Esopus Senior Citizens and was an avid bowler.

Louise is survived by her:
Daughter; Linda L. and her husband Duane Baxter Sr., Simpsonville, SC,
Son; J. Robert "Bob" and his wife Patricia Short Jr., Dunedin, FL,
Grandson; Christopher Burns,
Granddaughter; Dina Good,
Grandson; John R. Short III,
Grandson; Duane B. Baxter Jr., and his wife Jena
Granddaughter; Stacey and her husband Rick Smith,
Granddaughter; Carrie and her husband Jason Johnston,
7 Great-Grandchildren,
1 Great Great-Granddaughter,
Several Nieces & Nephews.

Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral Service, Inc., 216 Broadway, Port Ewen, where services will be held on Wednesday at 7:00 pm Keyser Funeral Service, Inc. With Rev. Dr. David Brechter, officiating.

Burial in Riverview Cemetery, Port Ewen, will take place in the spring.
