Louise K. Denter of South Broadway, Red Hook died Monday, March 23, 2009 at her home. She was 82.
She was born in Kingston on July 26, 1926, a daughter of the late Peter and Theresa Gerrain Perry. A longtime Kingston resident, she married John J. Denter on May 11, 1947. She belonged to St. Joseph's Church, Kingston. In 1985 Mrs. Denter moved to Red Hook.
An avid Bingo player, she enjoyed many trips to Atlantic City.
Three sisters Elvia Shader, Rose Naccarato and Lena Nagy, and one brother Matthew Perry all died previously.
Surviving are her husband of 61 years, John J. Denter; one son John J. Denter and his wife Linda of Kingston, one brother Vincent Perry of Kingston, one sister Corinne Janeczek of Kingston; two granddaughters Michele Boughton and Denise Hand, three great grandsons Zachary and Brandon Williams and Austin Hand, many nieces and nephews.
Reposing at the Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral procession will form on Thursday at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
