Louise Napoleon of Roosevelt Ave., died September 4, 2013 at her home. She was 91.
She was born in Brooklyn, a daughter of the late Joseph F. and Louise Reidler Carroll, Sr. A longtime Kingston resident, Louise married John Napoleon on May 1, 1940. Louise previously worked at Montgomery Ward's uptown Kingston and Town of Ulster. A parishioner of St. Joseph's Church, Louise previously volunteered at St. Joseph's School P.T.O.
Loving wife of 73 years to John "Johnny Knapp" Napoleon, mother of John J. Napoleon and his wife Nancy of Kingston, and Nancy A. Purvis of Kingston, grandmother of Lori MacIsaac and husband Devin, Dina Ostrander and husband Michael, Erin Purvis O'Neil and husband Shawn and Paul R. Purvis; great grandmother of Ally and Kylie Ostrander, Lauren and Ian MacIsaac, Parako R. and Elizabeth Paige O'Neil; sister of the late Marion Brown, Lorraine Lowe and Joseph Carroll, Jr., many nieces and nephews.
Reposing at the Simpson Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Sunday from 1:00 5:00 PM. The funeral procession will form on Monday at 9:15 AM from the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Church at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
