Lorraine Sillik, 88, a lifelong resident of Kingston, died Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Ten Broeck Commons following a brief illness.
Born in Kingston, she was a daughter of the late Charles & Katherine McNally Dasher. Lorraine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and was very family oriented. She enjoyed her years traveling abroad with her husband Jim when he was in the military. She enjoyed ceramics, crocheting and watching the NY Yankees.
Lorraine is survived by her husband of 60 years, James C. Sillik, Sr, of Kingston, whom she married on February 20, 1955, a daughter, Kathy L. Sillik-Decker of Kingston, two sons, James C. Sillik, Jr of Kingston and Jeff C. Sillik and his wife Tammy of Port Ewen, two sisters, Margueritte Bruck of Clearwater, FL and Joan Cozza and her husband William of Kingston, three grandchildren, Samantha Miriello and her husband Jamie, Krista Sillik and Kelli Sillik. One great grandson, Logan Miriello and several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents, Lorraine was predeceased by four siblings, Genevieve Fowler, Edward Dasher, Charles Dasher, Janet Dasher.
Lorraine will be reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave, on Thursday, September 10, 2015 from 4-7 PM.
A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 11:00 AM with Fr. Eugene Grohe from Sacred Heart Church officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
