Lorraine T. Ferraro

Lorraine Theresa Ferraro passed away peacefully on December 6 at the age of 91 at her home in Kingston, NY surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 27, 1931 in Glasco, NY, the daughter of Richard and Antoinette Secreto.

Lorraine graduated from Saugerties High School and went on to earn her Bachelor of Science and Master of Teaching Degrees from SUNY Oneonta. After graduating from SUNY Oneonta, she dedicated her life to teaching and spent the majority of her career at Chambers Elementary School teaching Fifth Grade. 

Lorraine married her high school sweetheart John” Jack” Ferraro and the two were married for 50 years. Together, they had two children Stephen and David. In addition to being a great conversationalist and having a witty sense of humor, Lorraine had many passions which included cooking, Rummikub, watching tennis and spending many winters at her condo in Pompano Beach, FL. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family and friends.

Lorraine is predeceased by her husband Jack, parents and daughter in law, Linda. She is survived by her sons Stephen of The Villages, Florida, David and his wife Gloria of Kingston, granddaughters Julie Palleschi and husband Charlie of Charlestown, MA., Kimberly Berendt and her husband Timothy of Brookline, MA, Gabrielle Deising and her husband Peter of Kingston, grandson John Ferraro and his wife Erika of Kingston, her adored great grandchildren Charlie, Emily, Jaxon, Brayden and Ashton. She is also a beloved aunt to her nieces and nephews and cousins.

Entrusted to the care of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, Inc., 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, December, 9, 2022 at 11am at Saint Mary’s Church, 160 Broadway, Kingston, NY.
