Lori M. Parkhurst of Sawmill Road, Lake Katrine, a proud mother of five, died Monday, October 11, 2010 at Kingston Hospital awaiting a lung transplant. She was 48.
Lori, a graduate of Saugerties High School, was born in Blue Mountain on October 29, 1961 a daughter of the late Frank and Sharon Isgro.
On July 15, 1990 she married James J. Parkhurst.
Since 1988 she has been a bookkeeper at Tires Plus, Town of Ulster. Lori participated in aerobics at Fit Lady, Town of Ulster and was an aerobics instructor at Saugerties Fitness Center. She enjoyed boating with her husband at their port-o-call, The Kingston Powerboat Association.
Surviving are her husband of 20 years, James J. Parkhurst; her five children for whom she lived, James Brandon Parkhurst, Alexis Parkhurst, Jesse Parkhurst, Mick Jaydon Parkhurst and Matthew Parkhurst; her grandmother Helen Overbaugh of Florida; and two sisters Cindy Dillon of Colorado and Debbie Isgro of Kingston.
Reposing at the Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Friday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the Plattekill Reformed Church, Old Kings Highway, Mt. Marion.
