Lisa A. Naccarato Schatzel, 49, of Kingston, died Saturday, May 7, 2016 at HealthAlliance Hospital Broadway Campus with her family by her side.
Born in Kingston, she was the daughter of Louis and Rosemary Costa Naccarato of Port Ewen. An Assistant Vice President of Originations at Ulster Savings Bank, Lisa was an active member in our community, serving as a member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ulster County and eventually a big sister to a young girl. Lisa was a graduate of the National School of Banking and served on the advisory board of SONYMA. Lisa also served as secretary on the RUPCO Board of Directors.
Lisa will be remembered for her contagious smile and the genuine kindness she portrayed. Lisa dedicated her life to her children and family and concerned herself with the feelings of others in a selfless crusade to make those around her happy. Lisa was truly one of a kind with a heart of gold and will be missed by all that knew her.
In addition to her parents, Lisa is survived by her husband Mark S. Schatzel of Kingston, two daughters, Molly J. Schatzel and Emily R. Schatzel, both of Kingston. Two brothers, Michael L. Naccarato of Kingston and Louis S. Naccarato of Saugerties, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends.
Lisa will be reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Thursday, May 12, 2016 from 2-5 and 7-9. The funeral procession will form from the funeral home on Friday May 13th, at 9:00 AM.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Church Kingston.
Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
