Linda Murphy

Linda A. Murphy, 75, of Ulster Park, NY, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2024 at HealthAlliance Hospital - Mary's Ave Campus in Kingston. She was born on November 2, 1948 in Kingston, being the daughter of the late Edward and Annabelle (Cassidy) Ashdown. Linda was married to Stephen J. Murphy of Ulster Park, NY. 

She was a graduate of St. Ursala's Academy in Kingston. She later worked as a real estate broker for over 30 years. She was employed by a variety of companies, but eventually opened her own.

She enjoyed shopping, and was an avid antique collector. Linda loved large gatherings and entertaining for family and friends. She was famous for her cooking and baking. She was always interested in watching her husband build houses and photographing the work. Linda was also very much in love with her animals.

Linda is survived by her husband Stephen J Murphy of Ulster Park, her sons, Glenn York and his wife DeeAnne Langon-York of Kingston, Eric York and his significant other Brooke Frano of Kingston, and Michael York of Saugerties, her grandchildren, Nicholas York and Connor York, as well as many other dear friends and relatives.

Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Ave., Kingston, NY 12401 where family and friends may visit on Friday, March 1, 2024 from 4pm to 7pm with the funeral service taking place at 7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ulster County SPCA at www.UCSPCA.org
