Linda M. Munro

Linda M. Munro of Mt. Airy Rd., Saugerties died Friday evening at Benedictine Hospital. She was 47. She was born in Queens on January 13, 1960, the daughter of Luka and Agatha Corso Ivankovic. Linda moved to this area as a young child and graduated from Kingston High School, class of '77. Since 1982 she has worked at Gun Parts Corp., West Hurley as a purchasing operations manager. A lover of the outdoors, Linda enjoyed camping and boating. She was active in the Saugerties Power Boat Association and volunteered for the Ulster Literacy Assoc. In September 1992 she married Richard S. Munro. Surviving are her husband of 14 years, Richard S. Munro, her parents of Pt. Charlotte, Florida; two brothers John Ivankovic of Rosendale and David Ivankovic of Pt. Charlotte, FL; three nephews Alex and Adrian Ivankovic and Dustin Priest; and one niece Amanda Ivankovic. Reposing at the Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Tuesday 2-4 and 6-9 PM. A candlelight service of remembrance will be conducted at 8:30 PM on Tuesday. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Wednesday from 8:30 - 9:15 AM. A Funeral Mass will then be celebrated at St. Joseph's RC Church in Kingston at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
