Lillian Lippman, formerly of Kingston died Sunday, May 30, 2004 at Vassar Hospital, Poughkeepsie. She was 83.
She was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 1, 1921, a daughter of the late Charles and Rachel Belkin. A Kingston resident since 1949, Mrs. Lippman previously lived at Rondout Garden Apartments.
She previously worked as a nurses aide at the Kingston Hospital. For many years she did domestic cleaning and food preparation at the Golden Hill Health Care Facility.
A member of Congregation Agudas Achim, she belonged to the Sisterhood and B’nai Brith. Mrs. Lippman resided at Ferncliff Nursing Home.
Her husband Isadore Lippman died August 20, 1994. One sister Fannie Kation died in 1978.
Surviving are two sons Charles of Kingston and Robert and his wife Liz of Saugerties; two brothers Jack Belkin of Oak Park, Michigan and Hyman Belkin of Texas; four nieces and four nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday at 12:30 PM from Simpson – Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. Rabbi Yitzchok Hecht of Congregation Agudas Achim will officiate. Interment will be in Montrepose Cemetery.
Shiva will be observed on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday at 7:00 PM at the residence of Robert and Liz Lippman in Saugerties.
