Lillian Anderson, 91, of Kingston, died Sunday, April 3, 2022 at home.
Born in Waukegan, IL, she was a daughter of the late Harry E. & Emily Hatton Herman.
Lillian was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Activities she enjoyed include bowling, scouting, traveling and volunteering in community organizations. She was a long time and active member of Fair Street Reformed Church. Lillian was known for her scrumptious apple pie and decadent chocolate chip cookies.
Lillian is survived by her husband of 66 years, Roy P. Anderson of Kingston, a daughter, Linda Short (David) of Montgomery, NY, a son, Roy H. Anderson (Lynda) of Saugerties, a sister, Dorothy Taylor of Gurnee, IL, a grandson, Andrew Short (Sarah), a granddaughter, Emily Short, a great granddaughter, Lily Marie Short. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents, Lillian was predeceased by four sisters, Emily Miller, Daisy Wieland, Betty Pokett and Margaret “Margie” Herman, two brothers, Harry Herman and Edwin “Buddy” Herman.
Lillian will be reposing at the Simpson-Hammerl Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave on Friday, April 8, 2022 from 2-4 PM.
A Funeral Service will follow at 4:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Kendra VanHouten of Fair Street Reformed Church officiating.
Interment will be held privately.
