Leonard L. Miller, 78, of Albany Ave., Kingston, died Tuesday, December 20th at his home.
A native and lifelong Kingston resident he was the son of the late David & Ida Gustivino Miller. He married Jean Fay on December 7, 1952.
Leonard was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Church and served as a Eucharistic Minister. A past Grand Knight of Kingston Council #275, he was a member of the Fourth Degree Assembly. He served as a Degree Team Member of Council #275, worked BINGO and served Past District Deputy of the Hudson Valley Chapter. Leonard was the current Commander of the 4th Degree Color Guard.
For 43 years he worked at Hercules, Port Ewen. He later worked for the Ethan Allen Bus Company for 15 years.
One sister Lillian Lindsey and brothers Charles D. and James J. Miller all died previously.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years Jean Fay Miller, two children, Leonard R. Miller and his wife Donna of Alamogordo, NM, Debra J. Kain and her husband Edward of Kingston, sister Grace Clearwater of Seattle, WA, five grandchildren, Heather and Tiffany Miller, Joleen Leszczynski, Tonya and Jeremy Kain, five great grandchildren, Megan, Abagail Leszczysnski, Cheyenne Miller, Kayden and Aaleyah Kain and sister in law Joan VanWagner.
Reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9. A Knights of Columbus service will be conducted at 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
The funeral procession will form on Friday at 9:15 AM from the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on at St. Joseph's Church at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Montrepose Cemetery.
