Lee R. Halwick

Kingston- Lee R. Halwick of Garraghan Drive died Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at Ferncliff Nursing Home in Rhinebeck. He was 70. He was born November 21, 1934 in Kingston, a son of the late Augustus and Charlotte Rockwell Halwick. A staff sergeant, Mr. Halwick served 16 years in the Air Force. Following active duty, he served 5 years with the army National Guard. For 20 years, he was a taxi driver for Kingston Kabs. His was the husband of the late Dorothea M. Drew Halwick who died February 12, 1993. Surviving are five daughters, Tammy Lee, Kelly Ann, Suzanne Halwick all of Kingston, Betty Lou Stockton of Albany, Donna Halwick of New York City and two sons, Mark of Kingston and David of New York City. One sister, Betty Lou Gardiner of Florida, 13 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews also survive. One brother, John Halwick died previously. The funeral procession will form on Monday at 10:30 am at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. At 12:00 pm, funeral services will be conducted by Deacon Jack Peters at the funeral home. Cremation will be in Wiltwyck Cemetery.
