Stone Ridge - Lavoid "Burt" Coddington Jr. of Atwood Road, Stone Ridge died Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at home. He was 82. He was born August 29, 1933 in Accord, a son of the late Lavoid and Rose Baird Coddington Sr. Mr. Coddington served as a paratrooper in the army during the Korean War. He was employed for 40 years at Channel Master, retiring in 1992 as Equipment Service Manager. He enjoyed attending old car shows, especially models from the 1930's and '40's. He also visited many WW II air craft museums. He loved fishing and spending time at the North Carolina Outer Banks. Surviving is his wife of 63 years, Dolores M. Hoffman Coddington; two daughters, Robin Rose Petramale and her husband Frank of Blue Mountain, Saugerties; Dolores Dawson of Kerhonkson; a son, Lavoid Coddington III; a sister, Lois Cole of Marbletown. Seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Two brothers Kenneth & Lawrence Coddington and two sisters, Helen Bielinski and Shirley Dorfner died previously.
