Laurie Ann Helle, daughter of Harold Helle and Dianne Woodyard, was born on November 6, 1968 in Estherville, Iowa. Laurie passed away quietly in her sleep at her home in Saugerties on December 18, 2017.
She attended Estherville public schools in Iowa and later moved to New York in 1996 where she studied and graduated from SUNY New Paltz. In the past, she worked with RCAL & Ulster-Greene ARC at their group homes in the Kingston area. She resided in the Kingston area with her life partner Chester "Chet" Lezer, until he passed away in 2016. Laurie had a love for her fur babies; Fluffy, Sheba, Atti, and Tiger. Other than going above and beyond for others, she also had a passion for caring for stray animals as well.
Left to cherish her memory are her siblings, Lisa (Helle) Reynolds and her husband Tim of Janesville, Wisconsin and Tina (Helle) Woodcock and her husband Brian of Junction City, Kansas, and her brother Mike Helle and his wife Darcie of Port Richey, Florida, as well as several nephews and nieces, and many friends.
Entrusted to the care of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Ave., Kingston, NY 12401, where family and friends may visit on Saturday December 23, 2017 from 10am to 11am. Burial will follow the funeral talk in Wiltwyck Cemetery, Kingston. Memorial donations may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children at
