Lauretta Lyons

Lauretta Lyons, 92, a lifelong resident of Kingston, died Sunday, May 17, 2015 at HealthAlliance Hospital Broadway Campus. Born in Kingston, she was a daughter of the late Giuseppe & Annunziata Gulisano. She had a great sense of humor, loved crossword puzzles, pets and auctions. Most of all she loved spending time with her family. Lauretta is survived by daughter in law, Anne Lyons of Saugerties, four grandchildren, Brian Lyons, Jeff Lyons, Scott Lyons and Kelly Miller, three great grandchildren, Gavin Lyons, Cadence Miller and Jenna Miller. Many nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents, Lauretta was predeceased by her son, Walter J. Lyons, Jr., five siblings, Sam Gulisano, Cosmos Gulisano, Anna Merallo, Frances McCullough and Rose Zammillo and her companion, Robert Stickles. Lauretta will be reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave, on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at the funeral home at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Paul Thymootil from St. Joseph Church, officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
