Laurelle Ann Griffin, née Creech, born on June 6, 1960, passed into eternal rest on July 10, 2024, at the age of 64, in Saugerties, NY. She humbly served her country in the United States Air Force, a testament to her enduring strength and resilience.
Following her time in the military, Laurelle had her two daughters. After years of being a dedicated mother and wife, Laurelle pursued a career in the insurance world. Laurelle then went back to school to graduate as a Licensed Practical Nurse, tending to the needs of others with unwavering devotion.
Her formative years were spent at John Jay High School, where she embarked on a journey of lifelong learning that she continued well beyond her graduation. A faithful congregant of Hopewell Reformed Church in Hopewell Junction, NY, Laurelle's spiritual life was nourishing and growing. Laurelle spent her free time gardening and arranging her flowers, enjoying the warming embrace of the sun, and spending time with family. She loved her days spent at the beach with family building not only sandcastles but lifelong memories. Laurelle's moments were most cherished when surrounded by the laughter and love of her beloved grandchildren, engaging in the simple joy of play. Whether it was reading a book or putting together puzzles, you could find Nana on the floor with one of her grandkids. Laurelle also had two precious cats that meant the world to her, Momma and Mimi Kitty.
Laurelle's legacy is carried on by her loving daughters, Megan Griffin and partner Dave, and Alicia Griffin and partner Quinn; treasured grandchildren, James, Jensen, Thomas, and Ruby; brothers, James Creech and spouse Eileen, and Michael Creech and spouse Stacy; along with numerous nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart. In addition to her late husband, John Griffin, she was greeted in heaven by her parents, Florence and Mario Paolilli; her angelic granddaughter, Abigail Griffin-Henry and her beloved cat Oliver.
