Kenneth L Snyder

March 31, 1921 — August 29, 2014

Kenneth L Snyder, 93, of Kingston, passed Friday afternoon, August 29, 2014 at Health Alliance Hospital, Mary's Ave. Campus, Kingston. He was born March 31, 1921 in Kingston, the son of the late Louis and Alma Snyder.

He was the husband of Anna Oakley Snyder, who passed away on March 19, 2012.

Ken was a graduate of Kingston High School, class of 1939. He served in the US Army during World War II in the South Pacific Theater of Operations.

For 29 years he was a Letter Carrier for the United States Postal Service. He grew up in Kingston until he married and moved to the Town of Ulster where he raised his family.

He loved history, the ocean, country music and the Yankees. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. We were blessed to have him with us as long as we did.

Ken is survived by his children Diane Snyder Camper and Jay Snyder both of Kingston, grandchildren, Jennifer Camper of Saratoga Springs, Stephanie Snyder of Providence, RI and Tara Snyder of Kingston, his nephews Gary and Glenn Snyder of Kingston and several other nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Christine Lynn Snyder and a brother Edward Snyder.


Entrusted to the care of Eric Keyser, Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Ave. Service will be private at the discretion of the family.
